First month status report. Well, I had a couple of sales in November, and when I checked my Clickbank account today I had another. Yeah!! Not a lot of money yet, but I can see the potential.
There is so much to learn and not enough time in the day. I feel very confident that I have all the resources and tools that I need to succeed, thanks to the folks at Wealthy Affiliate and the One Week Marketing Plan.
Without the supportive environment of Wealthy Affiliate I am sure I would have given up a long time ago. It is very encouraging and inspiring to read the stories of other Internet marketers, whether they are making their first sale or their first $100,000. The knowledge, experience and advice that they are willing to share/give is priceless.
I am testing the waters of The Ultimate Search Engine Loophole. Last night I installed Caffeinated Content on my Wordpress blog, as recommended. Amazing product! I was so excited I was up until 4am in the morning playing with it! Not free, but definitely worth its weight in gold. Fills your blog with relevant content from Yahoo Answers or Article Marketing sites in minutes. Unlike other products, like Wordpress Direct, there is a only a one-time fee, not an ongoing monthly fee. I tried Wordpress Direct free when I participated in Ed Dales Thirty Day Challenge, and I was not impressed. I did not like the templates or the user interface. With Caffeinated Content you use the normal Wordpress interface to manage your content and have the option of using any Wordpress template you want. I highly recommend this product.
The final product that I purchased this month, and my last for a while, is a membership to the Affiliate Niche Club run by two fellow Wealthy Affiliate members, Dave and Thad. This was recommended by Pot Pie Girl of One Week Marketing fame and helps affiliate marketers with one of the hardest parts of affiliate marketing, namely identifying and targeting a profitable niche. This has been for me, the biggest barrier to getting started. At $9 a month (or $7 a month if paid annually) it is the best deal in town. Download the sample report and see for yourself.
My other “job” is my ecommerce site which I launched a few months ago. I am off to apply my ever expanding knowledge to boost traffic to my site!

It is almost the middle of the month, so it is time for an update.
It has been a very busy month. Dave Kelly and Chris Rempel’s The Ultimate Search Engine Loophole launched on November 5th with much anticipation and excitement. I managed to snag a pre-release copy and will be implementing their tactics shortly. Definitely not a “bum marketing” (ie: no cost) system or one for beginners. Although I fall into this latter category I have been playing around with Wordpress a lot and I am eager to give it a try.
I have nothing to loose, and everything to gain. So, let the fun begin.
Wealthy Affiliate University has introduced new Article Marketing & Pay-Per-Click Accreditation Courses for its members. They are more intensive than the regular Wealthy Affiliate program and include Kyle and Carson’s acclaimed ebooks Who Loves Money, Inside the List and Beating Adwords. Since these books were on my “need to buy” list, this is a no brainer.
More knowledge = More (Internet Marketing) Power.

In March 2008 I joined Wealthy Affiliate University to learn the ropes, and I have to say it have been the best investment I have ever made. For the last few months I have been learning everything I can about internet marketing, mainly from Wealthy Affiliate, but also from a few other resources that were recommended in their members forum.
Wealthy Affiliate was founded by two young successful Internet marketers, Kyle and Carson, to help other affiliate marketers succeed. Their online learning resources and members forum are second to none. You will find everything you need to get started in affiliate marketing, with no money (the Bum Marketing method) as well as suggestions for those who are willing to invest in PPC (pay per click) advertising and other tools.
Whether you are just starting out in affiliate marketing or are a seasoned veteran I would highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate. You may be surprised who you meet there. Some of the most successful Internet marketers in the world are members, and have been for over three years. They join and never leave because it has so much to offer. I don’t think you can have a better recommendation than that.

The Journey Begins

After lurking in the shadows for months, I have finally decided to take the plunge and take action! My journey into the Internet marketing, and specifically affiliate marketing world starts today.
Since the beginning of 2008 I have been exploring the “making money online” field. Needless to say, this is a very popular market and there are no end of people willing to take your money in exchange for showing you how to make millions of dollars while you sleep! Trying to weed through the false advertising and find something that works and is legal and ethical, has been challenging. One online business opportunity that did make sense to me way affiliate marketing – making money by marketing other people’s products online. It is a business that can be started with little or no money and no risk.
Join me as a I embark on my Internet marketing journey and share my discoveries on the way.
